Iran: Destruction of forest under the Mullahs’ rule

Vast forest areas in Iran under the rule of the mullahs are being destroyed
In every minute about 3000 sq. meters of forest is destroyed under the Mullahs regime, according to a report published by the country’s environmental agency.
The Administrator of Habitat and Wild Life in the Environmental Organization in its report has only touched the tip of an iceberg about the forest destruction. The report says:' research shows that in past 4 decade forests lands in Iran has shrined from 18 million hectares to only 12 million hectare', a reduction of 6 million hectares in only 40 years.
One official source in the government says that the forest Destruction process in the province Mazandran has been more than other forest in northern parts of the country, and in central Zakros Mountain we are facing with more rapid destruction than ever before.
All of these destruction and misuse of lands and country’s natural resources have been the result of the mullahs incompetency and abuse of the country’s wealth.
