Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran

Incoming reports from inside Iran indicate seven Sunni prisoners have been transferred to ward 7 of Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran, where ordinary and dangerous inmates are held.
These Sunni prisoners have been in detention since Eid al-Adha (marking the end of Hajj rituals) of 2014 in the city of Mahabad, northwest Iran. Following their interrogations by the Mahabad and Urumieh intelligence departments they were transferred to ward 209 of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison
The names of these prisoners are: Saman Sultani, Chia Sultiani, Suleiman Pirouti, Jamshid Pirouti, Shuresh Ayene Bukani, Shuresh Ghahreman Doust and Rahmat Khosh Khahesh.
These prisoners are currently held in hall 21 of ward 7 in Gohardasht Prison.
Although there are no reports indicating the exact and official reason for their arrests, the prisoners themselves are saying they were detained for “promoting their religion”.
Regime agents have to this day refused to transfer these 7 inmates to hall 10 of Gohardasht Prison where other Sunni prisoners are held.
