When a Basij militant approached a woman and her two young daughters waking in a local park in Karaj, west of Tehran on Tuesday Jan. 20th to issue an ultimatum for their appearance supposedly not observing the mullahs’ imposed ’dress code’, he encountered a sharp and sudden reaction from the mother of the two young girls chastising and punishing him. Then the two daughters started to shout and call for help. When other people in the park gathered around the three women, the frightened Basij militant quickly backed off and left the scene hastily before being attacked by other people who were also shouting at him.
