Iranian regime authorities in the city of Mahabad, western Iran, continued to deprive Younes Aghayan, a prisoner detained for past 12 years from obtaining temporarily leave. Aghayan is also being held amongst non-political prisoners, in violation of the principle of separating prisoners based on their crimes.
This prisoner was arrested following clashes between the police a group of Sunnis minorities. After his arrested Aghayan was sentenced to death on “moharebe” charges (enmity against God) and also five years behind bars.
