A prisoner who underwent surgery for being diagnosed with cancer was returned to his prison cell shortly after the surgery. Alireza Golipour, a prisoner detained in ward 7 of Tehran’s Evin Prison was returned to his cell just a day after a cancerous tumor was removed from his lung and a stent was placed into his heart.
It is worth noting that chemotherapy sessions for this patient continue to complete his treatment and his medicine dosage has been increased.
Golipour, married and born in 1986, was convicted on “espionage” charges.
