16th day of hunger strike by Pol prisoners in Evin’s ward 240

Injured and wounded political prisoners held in solitary confinement of Evin Prison’s ward 240 surpassed their 16th day of hunger strike on Thursday, May 1st. These inmates are protesting their transfer to solitary confinement and being tortured and beaten during the authorities’ vicious raid into ward 350 on April 17th.
Political prisoner Omid Behrouzi, a lawyer of Dervish prisoners whose hand was severely wounded during the April 17th attack against ward 350, suddenly suffered from breathing difficulties and high heart rate on Monday midnight, and was later transferred to Tehran’s Taleghani Hospital. The regime’s authorities quickly transferred him back to Evin after a few minor checks. There is no more news of this political prisoner’s physical conditions.
