Iran: metal factory workers on strike

Workers of a metal factory in the city of ‘Sove’ in southwest Tehran went on strike protesting not being paid for the past 5 months, adding they didn’t even receive their new year bonuses.
Reports indicate around 200 workers represented 1,100 workers in this production unit. 

Workers & truck drivers protesting in south-central Iran

Workers of a stone-breaking factory in the city of Jiroft in south-central Iran near Shiraz staged a gathering outside the regime’s governor office. This rally was held on Saturday, May 24th, protesting their low wages and pensions, and demanding to receive their insurances.
Simultaneously, with the workers of three other stone-breaking factories going on strike in Jiroft, truck drivers also launched their own strike protesting the sudden increase in diesel fuel prices.

Iran: Isfahan youths clash with special repressive forces

A number of youths in the city of Isfahan held a gathering on Friday, May 23rd, protesting the drying of a nearby river and expressing their anger at the mullahs’ policies. Regime experts in Isfahan, fearing the spread of this protest rally, dispatched their special anti-riot unit to disperse the protesters. These forces used pepper gas and batons to disperse the crowd near the famous 33 Bridge. However, the demonstrators showed resistance against these measures.

Iran: residents of western city protest increasing annual taxes

A group of people in the city of Malayer in Lorestan Province (western Iran ) held a rally on Saturday, May 24th, protesting increasing annual taxes. This gathering was held outside the regime’s governor’s office.
In other news, the expelled workers of the Kurdistan Rastin Digging Company held a gathering in the city of Sanandaj (western Iran) on Saturday, May 24th, protesting being expelled from work. This rally was held outside the company office.
Over 300 workers of the Sahand Azar Factory in Sanandaj rallied on Wednesday, May 21st, protesting not receiving their paychecks for the past 6 months. This rally was held outside the company office in Sananjdaj.
