Brutal torture reported from Zahedan Central Prison in SE Iran

On Tuesday, July 15th, a prisoner by the name of Ismaeel Rezaie, 28, detained in ward 7, went to see a prison manager by the name of Khazaie telling him he has not been allowed a visit with his family for months and protested to this matter. Under orders issued by Khazaie, he was immediately transferred to the quarantine ward known as the torture chamber of Zaheden Central Prison and viciously tortured by a henchman named Mir Kamali who first stripped and chained his arms and legs and viciously tortured him. Mir Kamali didn’t stop there and left him in the scorching summer heat on hot mosaic for a long period. (Human Rights & Democracy Activists in Iran – July 17, 2014)
