According to reports received from inside Iran, the physical conditions of political prisoner Afshin Sohrabzadeh are critical in Minab Central Prison.
The Iranian regime’s authorities are refusing to send this 24-year old political prisoner out of the prison for medical treatment and surgery.
He was severely tortured and suffered internal bleeding while being arrested by Ministry of Intelligence agents. This political prisoner tried to commit suicide on 2 July 2012 protesting his exile to Sanandaj Central Prison and inhumane conditions in Minab prison.
Sohrabzadeh was arrested in the city of Kamiyaran on 8 December 2009 on the charge of cooperating with Kurdish parties. He was sentenced to 25 years in jail and internal exile to Minab by a so-called court in the city of Sanandaj.
