Iranians supporting their country's main Iranian opposition movement, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK/PMOI) continued their protest for 1244th day outside UN Headquarters in Geneva on Friday calling for end to executions in Iran and protection for residents of Camp Liberty, Iraq.
The protesters condemned the violations of human rights in Iran under Hassan Rouhani.
Since Rouhani became president, more than 1,000 people have been executed in Iran, including hundreds of women, youth, ethnic and religious minorities as well as opposition activists.
They also called on the UN to uphold their long-standing commitment to protect thousands of Iranian dissidents in Camp Liberty, Iraq, who have been subject to deadly attacks by the Iraqi government at the behest of the Iranian regime.
