In an interview with Iran’s semi-official news agency ISNA, Behrooz Esfandiari deputy head of the Iran’s swimming federation said that the 12-member Iranian team had gone to France for the national contest, but after the contest was over, only 10 people returned to the country. Esfandiari said they are still waiting for the two missing team members to return.
In many occasions in past, patriotic athletes have said NO to the anti-Iranian, anti-human regime of mullahs by not returning to the despotic regime of Iran.
