Iran: 3 Christian pastors have been charged with "acting against state security and organizing the overthrow of the regime"

         

According to sources familiar with the case, investigation into charges relating to Behnam Irani, Aliraza Ali Haghshenas and Reza Rabbani, three Christian pastors have started on Tuesday at the branch 1 of Karaj court. They were accused of 'acting against the state security and organizing the overthrow of the regime' which if proved is punishable by death. The three pleaded not guilty and defended their position. 
The court led by henchman mullah Asef Hosseini opened the case on Tuesday. The 3 Christian pastors are currently being held at Karaj central prison.
