Iran: pol prisoner in critical condition due to lack of proper medical treatment

Zeinab Jalalian, a political prisoner who has been sentenced to life imprisonment is suffering from severe sight difficulty and has been denied medical treatment. 
Zeinab, according to the ’Campaign in defense of political prisoners’, was arrested back in 2007 by Kermanshah intelligence ministry agents and has been under extreme psychological and physical strain for past four years. She was first sentenced to death by hanging, but her sentenced was later commuted to life imprisonment. She has gone on hunger strike on and off to protest her detention. She has been suffering from eye difficulty for past two years and her medical treatment has repeatedly been denied by the prison authorities. Her plea to be transferred to a prison close to her home city has been denied and is currently being kept at Kermanshah prison.
