Khlid Hardani who has been imprisoned for past 14 years has been denied receiving leave for medical treatments, despite his numerous physical disability and complications.
According to human rights activists, Mr. Hardani is suffering from chronic intestinal disease and jaw infection. Despite these complications, prison authorities have denied his request for leave of absence for medical treatment and proper care is unavailable inside prison making his condition worse.
He also has been denied having visits from his children for past 25 months.
He was arrested back in 2000 for the alleged ’disruption of flight security’ and was sentenced to death by hanging. But due to his family’s objection and other protests as to the faulty judicial procedures, his death sentence was reduced to life imprisonment. He was also charged with other bogus charges which give him another 7 years hard labor and a 6-year term exile to a prison with bad climate conditions.
