Iran: Political prisoners Khaled Hardani denied medical treatment

Iranian political prisoner Khaled Hardani being held in Gohardasht Prison in the city of Karaj has gone on hunger strike to protest at denial of access to medical care.
Mr. Hardani was taken to the prison clinic on a stretcher by his prison mates on Saturday, May 30, 2015 after the prison guards refused to do anything for him as he was suffering from severe abdominal pain and fever.
His health condition required his transfer to hospital outside the prison but it was denied by the prison authorities.
Mr. Khaled Hardani has been suffering from a variety of physical complications including gastro-intestine problem, kidney, lung and heart disease for some times. Despite repeated attempts by doctors in the prison clinic to move him to a more facilitated clinic, the guards have denied him treatment and all those efforts by the prisoners have also failed.
Since the installment of high power communication jamming devices in Gohardasht prison, most of the prisoners including Hardani have become sick and developed numerous physical disabilities and pains.
