NCRI - Iranians in Paris on Saturday held a rally in support of human rights in Iran and to denounce the soaring rate of executions in Iran during Hassan Rouhani’s Presidency.
The Iranians held banners condemning the appalling human rights abuses by the mullahs’ regime, including the more than 2000 executions carried out under Rouhani’s watch. They also held posters showing examples of human rights violations carried out by the mullahs’ regime.
They urged the French government not to welcome Rouhani in Paris later this month and reiterated that an improvement of relations with the Iranian regime should be based on a halt to executions and human rights violations in Iran.
The supporters of the Iranian Resistance chanted slogans in support of democratic change in Iran. The rally was met with widespread local support from French citizens.
More than 120,000 political prisoners, the vast majority affiliated to the main Iranian opposition group People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK), have been executed in the past 34 years by the mullahs’ regime.
