Tabriz Central Prison
According to reports received from inside Iran, Latif Hassani, a political prisoner held inside Tabriz Central Prison, surpassed his 37th day of hunger strike and is in critical physical conditions.
The wife of this political prisoner has said, “From the first day of his hunger’s hunger strike he was faced with heart pulse problems and drop in blood pressure. Once or twice he was transferred to the clinic for high heart beats. However, during the past 17 or 18 days despite his critical physical conditions they have refused to take him to a clinic.”
Political prisoner Latif Hassani has been on hunger strike since Sunday, May 18th, protesting rights violations against political prisoners, not respecting the principle of distinguishing specific crimes in prisons and harassing families of political prisoners.
