Iran: Health of four Sunni political prisoners on hunger strike is deteriorating

NCRI - The condition of four Sunni Kurdish political prisoners in Iran, Messrs. Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Mola’ei, Jamshid and Jahangir Dehqani, who are on hunger strike in Karaj’s Ghezalhesar prison, has deteriorated.
They went on hunger strike since June 14, when they were transferred by the mullahs’ regime henchmen from Gohardasht prison in order to have their sentence carried out.
They have been sentenced to death on the charges of “propaganda against the regime, corruption on earth, and Moharebeh”.
These four prisoners have suffered severe weight loss, low blood pressure and kidney problems. Hamed Ahmadi also had stomach bleeding. They had been on hunger strike four months ago for 73 days to protest their death sentences.
The henchmen keep them in solitary confinement and in execution garbs, and constantly threaten to execute them.
Meanwhile, 80 Sunni prisoners in Hall 10 of Karaj’s Gohardasht prison who have gone on hunger strike to support these four prisoners since June 16, continue their hunger strike.
The Iranian resistance once again calls on all international and human rights organizations for a speedy and effective measure to save striking Sunni prisoners.
