Iran: Fathers of three death row prisoners plea for saving their sons

Fathers of three Sunni political prisoners on death row in Iran have published an open letter demanding action to save their sons. The letter is signed b Habibollah Ahmadi and Khoda-Rahm Dehgani.
In their letter they stated:
"As you know our children have been in jail under oppression for five years. Our loved ones had been under severe torture in solitary confinement for two years and after a show trial without presence of a lawyer they were sentenced to death.
"All trials took only half an hour, during these thirty minutes the bill of indictment was read and some other curt ritual was implemented.
"You can imagine that there was not any time for your children to defend themselves. On the one hand, Judge Mohammad Mouqiseh while insulted us just because of us believes had made his decision before the trail and did not allow the suspects to defend themselves, and on the other hand there was no evidence against our children except the confession that was obtained under torture.
"Initially our sons were sentenced to death at the charge of complicity in assassination of Sheykholeslam and Mamusta Borhan Ali, it is while our children had been arrested prior to assassination of these people.

"When the reality was revealed, the Supreme Court revoked the verdict and this time our loved ones were sentenced to death at the charge of membership in Salafi groups; it is while our children did not participated in any of these groups and armed operation. The local people are acknowledged that our sons are innocent.
"Since Saturday, 14 June, our children were sent to cordon ward of Ghezelhesar prison and were forced to wear cloths of prison specialized for the people who are in the row of execution. Minimum three times, they were brought to gallows and after many psychological tortures were brought back to the solitary confinement in the cordon ward of the prison.
"Therefore, we humbly beg you to ask judicial and security authorities by any means to stop torturing, physically and psychologically, our children and revoke their death penalty."
