Political prisoner Reza Shahabi
Political prisoner Reza Shahabi surpassed his 14th day on hunger strike in Gohardasht Prison, west of Tehran, on Saturday, June 14th. Reza Shahabi, a member of the Tehran bus drivers’ syndicate, has been on hunger strike since June 1st after being transferred and exiled from ward 350 of Evin Prison to Gohardasht Prison, demanding to be returned to Evin Prison.
This political prisoner is currently in dire physical conditions and despite intense pains in his spinal cord and even a serious drop in blood pressure and severe weight loss (7 kilograms), yet he has no means of receiving any medical treatment.
In order to inflict even more pressure on this political prisoner Iran ian regime henchmen have told him they intend to close down Evin Prison and don’t think about returning to Evin and break your hunger strike.
