Iran: Teachers ignore mullahs’ intimidation, joining the nationwide protest

Teachers are braving mullahs intimidation, joining the demonstration
In spite of intimidations and threats by the clerical establishment baring teachers from demonstrating, thousands of angry teachers have gathered in Tehran and a dozen other cities to protest injustice and discrimination.
The clerical regime had warned teachers in advance saying 'teachers are not unaware of the enemy’s schemes. Some are shouting slogans other than basic services and everyday needs. They are politicizing the demonstration. This is the plot and scheme of the enemy.'
But the teachers are brushing off these threats and intimidations by rushing on to the streets in cities around the country. Since early hours of today, Thursday, May 7 teachers have been heeding the call to protest and demand freedom of imprisoned teachers as well as free education for all children and justice for themselves.
So far reports of teachers’ demonstration have been coming from Tehran, Shiraz, Mashhad (northeastern Iran), Kermanshah (Central Iran), Sari (northern Iran), Islam-Abad (West of Iran), Ahwaz (Southern Iran) and Babol (north of Iran).
