Hossein Sajedi-nia, head of police in the Greater Tehran area announced that the police has impounded over 21,000 vehicles under night raids.
“Police will not allow any law violations,” he said. He also described improper veiling and creating too much noise as specific examples of crimes committed by drivers.
Greater Tehran police chief said police will take action against people with improper clothing and mal-veiling in the capital.
“From long ago police have been taking measures against improper clothing, mal-veiling and/or any other such measures by vehicle passengers. Police will confiscate the vehicle and refer the violators of these regulations to the judiciary,” he said.
