Iran: My sister needs urgent medical care!

Nargis Mohammadi
Mehdi Mohammadi, the brother of Nargis Mohammadi, demanded urgent medical aid be provided for his sister. Nargis Mohammadi is suffering from various nerve or lung illnesses. But prison authorities are opposing her transfer to a hospital.
In a letter Mehdi Mohammadi has described his sister’s conditions as such:
“Nargis’ illness is advancing at such a rate that her 4 pills a day has increased to 15 pills a day. Unfortunately the public prosecutor has not issued any orders regarding these issues.”
He says Mohammadi’s illnesses are resulting from psychological, mental and physical pressure imposed on her in prison.
Prison authorities refusing to provide medical care for her comes at a time that Evin physicians have said Mrs. Mohammadi can no longer tolerate being held behind bars.
Nargis Mohammadi was first arrested back in 2010, and then arrested once again in May 2012 and released due to her illness. This civil activist was once again thrown behind bars in May 2015 under new charges. (Deutsche Welle – September 8, 2015)
