Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll In 541 Cities Exceeds 266,500

 State-controlled Covid-19 Statistics: 496 Deaths In 24 Hours, Highest Death Toll Since Pandemic Began

• Saeed Namaki, regime’s Health Minister: We will be dealing with the Coronavirus for at least another three years. We will have Iranian mutations that are different from African, English, Brazilian, and Indian variants and we need to plan for them. (State TV, April 26, 2021)
• Alireza Zali, head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) in Tehran: We have experienced the most severe and violent COVID-19 waves in Tehran since the beginning of the outbreak in the past ten days. • Nader Tavakoli, the deputy head of the NCCT in Tehran: The COVID-19 outbreak is at its peak in Tehran. We have 1,400 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and we treat almost the same number of outpatients, daily. (ISNA, April 26, 2021)

• Ardabil University of Medical Sciences: Coronavirus infection is on the rise. Thirteen people died last night, the number of COVID-19 patients and hospitalizations have quadrupled in recent weeks. (IRNA news agency, April 26, 2021)

The number of victims in Tehran has reached 61,051, Isfahan 17,410, Khorasan Razavi 16,795, Khuzestan 16,194, Mazandaran 11,195, Lorestan 11,163, East Azerbaijan 10,938, West Azerbaijan 9,999, Gilan 9,311, Qom 9,145, Fars 8,077, Alborz 6,873, Golestan 6,745, Sistan and Baluchestan 6,066, Hamedan 6,008, Kerman 5,994, Kermanshah 5,354, Semnan 4,725, North Khorasan 3,953, Ardabil 3,352, Hormozgan 3,075, Zanjan 2,930, and Ilam 2,746.
