Iran-women: Children above 2 years of age in prisons


Mohammad Nefriyeh, director general of the Children and Youth affairs in the Welfare Organization, said, “Currently, there are a number of children above two years of age who are still in prison
… Right now we have no permit to build any kindergarten in prison.”
A short while ago, the head of the Prisons Organization told the media that there are between 200 to 250 children living in prisons along with their mothers. (State-run asriran.com – March 5, 2016)
