Iran: Workers’ Protests and Strikes in southwestern Iran

Every employee of Sadra ship building company in the southwestern city of Bushehr have gone on strike. The strike started on Saturday and continued on Sunday March 6th. The employees staged their protest at the front gate, totally obstructing the traffic in and out of the company and said they would move until all their salaries and benefits are paid.
In Asalouyeh district in southern Iran, workers and employees of Doorriz Company staged a protest rally in front of section 17 and 18 of Asalouyeh for the second day in the row protesting against unpaid wages and salaries. They too said that their strike would continue as longs as their outstanding demands are not settled.
