80 women arrested by Iranian regime on Int’l Women’s Day

Women under intense crackdown by Iranian regime

Around 80 women of Iran’s Dervish community who intended to join a massive rally outside Tehran’s prosecutor’s office on Saturday were arrested by the mullahs’ security forces.
Seeing the wave of protesters heading towards Tehran’s prosecutor’s office, security forces were terrified of a huge demonstration and in preventive measures began arresting many women at the scene. These arrests took place while Saturday marked International Women’s Day.
From the Friday night Dervish community members had assembled in a peaceful gathering outside Tehran’s prosecutor’s office seeking to express their protests over the cruelty and crackdown that is being imposed on their community. However, they were faced with attacks and raids conducted by the mullahs’ vicious security forces.
