Ahwaz: Sanitation contract company workers on strike
More than 100 contract workers from Ahwaz sewage system went on strike on Sunday Dec. 29 to protest the unpaid salaries and wages. They held a rally outside the Khuzestan Province Oversight Office asking to be fully paid. 
One protester said it has been little less than two years since they got part of their salary. In other words the company has been withholding a portion of their wages and refusing to release that. Not only the authorities had promised them full payments, and broke that promise, but their wages were also reduced since then. He added that he was taking part in that rally to voice his objection. 
Another protester said that all of the workers in this rally have between 5 to 15 years of experience and background in this line of work, but about 8 month worth of salary has been withheld. The labor office of the province must also give its employees insurance benefits too, but that is also a history. 

Iran unemployed Steel factory workers on strike
A Group of unemployed youth staged a demonstration in front of the Steel factory in Hormozgan, southern Iran. These young students say they had already taken the exams to be admitted to the factory, but the factory authorities voted to cancel their employment application. They also say that it has been several months since they have been wondering and looking for job, but no one accepts responsibility.

The town of Ray was the scene of strike by Iran-Transfo Company workers who went on strike since last week protesting their unpaid wages and other benefits including unpaid health care benefits, travel and out of town extras and bonuses. 
In Tehran, a group of workers from PEGAH Company staged a rally on Saturday to protest against their expulsion from the company. The rally took part in front of the Labor Ministry building on Azadi Blvd. they demanded the authorities to respond to their needs and grievances. 

Iran: Bafgh miners protest against transferring mine ownership to a private sector

A number of Bafgh iron ore miners gathered in front of the office of the so called 'City’s Islamic Council' to protest the transfer of the iron ore mine to private investors. 
One of protesting miner said: 'It is not right that every time shareholders decide to do something treat us like slaves and only give us a stupid smile in response. We demand security and peace, and if we protest we get arrested, when our rights are ignored, we are ordered to keep silent and say nothing. 

Iran: Clashes between Shahrava Factory workers and state guards in Bandar-Abbas

A number of Shahrava Factory workers in Bandar-Abbas clashed with State and factory guards who had accused them of illegally removing the waste and trash out of the factory. The workers initially protested against this nonsense accusation and said nothing can be removed from the factory ground without the concession and knowledge of the guards. So it is the guards themselves who had removed the waste from the factory ground. The protest quickly escalated to a clash and with extra security force deployed, the clashes got severe and ugly. 
Finally a number of workers got injured and some others were arrested and taken away.

Iran, Sanandaj: workers at Zagros Steal Factory on protest

Dozens of Zagros Steal Factory workers went on strike on Sunday Dec. 29 to protest unpaid wages and salaries and a possible shutdown of the factory. They staged their rally in front of the main Labor office of the Kurdistan province. 
One protester told the reporter who filed this report that this is the N times that we are gathering here to protest the illegal shutdown of the factory and dismissal of the employees. In addition to this rally, other workers from other part of Sananday have also joined us here today to voice their protest, but unfortunately after many rallies, the authorities and the company shareholders have not reacted and do not respond to our grievances.
Another protester said that it has been nearly 11 months that we are out of job and our backed up salaries have not been paid.
