Iran: 5 series of strikes, protests in 3 provincial capitals

On Wednesday, February 17th five series of protests and strikes staged by people from all walks of life were reported from the capitals of Ilam, Kurdistan and Kermanshah provinces in western Iran.

In Ilam a group of teachers protested not receiving their paychecks that have been delayed for a long time. This rally was held outside the districts education department building.

A group of Small Industries Organization employees rallied outside the organization building protesting the fact that their paychecks remain unpaid.

A group of employees associated to the Abkhizdaran Company in Ilam also protested not receiving their November-December paychecks.

In Sanandaj a group of pipe factory workers rallied at the company site after not receiving their November-December paychecks. This company is located in the Dehgolan industrial complex.

A group of Farhangian stores employees in Kermanshah protested not receiving their November-December paychecks. This rally was held in East Teachers’ Avenue.
