Iran: More than 100 people in Tehran arrested as part of cracking down on dissent

Hossein Sajedia-Nia, commander of Greater Tehran police reported over 100 people have been arrested in various parts of Tehran, describing them as hoodlums.
“Police will take firm action against any actions breaking the norms,” he said.
“The sixth phase of the plan to take action against hoodlums was implemented last night in the capital’s neighborhoods. Units of special police, including Public Security Police, Preventive Police and Medic Unit of Tehran identified and arrested over 100 hoodlums in their hideouts.
