Iran: Two Music concerts called off

Concert performers barred from playing in Iran

The concert of rock singer Kave Yaghmaie, scheduled to perform a concert during the music festivities on Monday, February 15, was canceled.
“Ever since last night the cancellation of this orchestra concert has had a deep impact on me. They said my orchestra was not ready to perform, while in the past 15 days we had practiced very hard and were fully ready to perform. Unfortunately, this has happened and our performance has been cancelled,” he said in a press conference.
‘Tondar’ group also sees concert cancelled
From last night to this day the ‘Tondar’ music group has been the third group having its concert cancelled. The cancellation of this concert has been finalized and authorities have informed the caretaker of this group that their performance has been cancelled.
“I received a call from the festivities and they said our concert is most probably cancelled. Unfortunately, they didn’t say why and just said we are facing some problems,” said Ardawan Anzabipour, caretaker of the ‘Tondar’ group.
