Iran: Mixing political and common criminal prisoners in the notorious Evin Prison

Evin Prison in Tehran

One of the mischievous and evil plots that the Iranian regime resorts to against political prisoners, is to mix them with common criminals in order to expose them to threats and dangers of possible encounter with them.
A recent example of this evil plot was a fight and scuffle at one of the Evin Prison Wards where prisoners accused of embezzlement and other social crimes engaged in a fight with political prisoners. The incident happened when a number of individuals held in Evin for financial crimes began beating political prisoners in this facility.
The clash inside this infamous prison took place shortly before February 11 marking the 1979 revolution in Iran. Reports indicate a political prisoner by the name of Saeed Razavi Faghih was injured and transferred to the prison clinic.
