Shocking statistics of rise in suicides amongst women in Iran, a disgrace for the mullahs’ regime

More and more suicides in Iran under ‘moderate’ Rouhani

A young woman from the suburbs of Kermanshah city, west of Iran, ended her life by using a hunting rifle. Locals have reported the young woman endured no psychological or family problems, and was actually in very good health. To this moment there is no information about the motive behind her heartbreaking suicide.
Since the beginning of 2015 the total 124 suicides and suicide attempts have been reported in Iran, 69 of which were women, according to unofficial numbers.
It is worth noting that on Saturday, February 6th, a 26-year-old pregnant woman near the city of Mariwan, western Iran, set herself ablaze and lost her life.
17 Jan 2016 – A young woman in Abadan, southwest Iran, hanged herself inside a building.
15 Jan 2016 – A high-school girl in Yazd, central Iran, threw herself off the Farhang apartment building, ending her life as a result.
14 Jan 2016 – A middle-aged woman in a village near the city of Gonabad committed suicide by using kerosene to set herself ablaze.
2 Dec 2015 – A 50-year-old woman committed suicide in a village near the city of Dana.
23 Nov 2015 – Two young women in a village near the city of Mariwan, western Iran, committed suicide. Tahere, 29, set herself ablaze due to extreme poverty. The second individual poisoned herself to death.
World Health Organization numbers show in Iran 3 women and 1 man out of every 100,000 people commit suicide.
Increasing numbers of suicide, especially amongst women and high-school students, is nothing but a disgrace for the mullahs’ regime in Iran that imposes unbearable and inhumane pressures. These state-run measures have even escalated suicide rates amongst Iran’s juveniles. The provinces of Ilam, Kermanshah and Kurdistan (all in western Iran) had the highest number of suicides from March 20 14 to March 2015, according to the mullahs’ so-called judiciary.
