Special police units designed for dealing with children, juveniles and women have been formed in Iran, according to the police chief. These units are scheduled to begin activities after March 20 .
“We will not allow an important event such as the elections become a scene where enemies of the state are able to repeat 2009-like seditions,” Hossein Ashtari said in a joint meeting with the Tehran public prosecutor.
Emphasizing the highest number of judiciary bailiffs are allocated to the police, Ashtari said, “For training we have no better bailiffs than those in the judiciary, and the main objective in such training is to have the daily matters go through more smoothly, all by increasing the number of training courses.”
In his remarks Ashtari also emphasized a special police unit for children, juveniles and women will be formed after March 20.
