Iran: 21 years jail sentence for a university student accused of insulting the Supreme Leader

Political Prison Ali Amir-gholi

Ali Amir-gholi, an expelled industrial management student from Ghazvin Azad (Free) University, has been sentenced to 21 years behind bars by one of the most infamous judges in the radical Islamic regime of Iran. He was charged and sentenced by Judge Salavati for “insulting the Supreme leader and sanctities, propaganda against the state, disrupting public order', just because he took part in protest rallies.
This college student had prior to this been arrested and transferred to Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison for taking part in a gathering held at Khavaran cemetery marking the 20th anniversary of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners.
