Tehran public and revolution prosecutor Jafari Dowlat Abadi said it is necessary for the law to address the efforts against satellite TV dealers and buyers. He referred to the rising number of Iranians installing such satellite equipment on their balconies and said, “This will not prevent authorities to take the necessary action.”
He described improper hijab as a method to pave the path for various problems faced in Iran’s society today. Dowlat Abadi referred to orders issued by the prosecutor’s office based on impounding vehicles found with passengers not abiding by hijab, saying, “Taking action against crimes committed in amphitheaters, illegal bodybuilding clubs and night parties are amongst other measures to be taken by Tehran’s prosecutor office.”
