WHILE EU LEADERS VISIT IRAN…THE REGIME KILLS SCORES OF MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
European leaders need to take a stand against Iranian extremism and not curry favor in pursuit of a financial windfall. Europe must speak out to halt the killings.
European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini visited Iran from April 16-17. Three women were hanged by the regime while she was there.
Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi visited Iran on April 12. Eight prisoners were hanged during his stay.
Christine Defraigne, President of the Belgian Senate, visited Iran on April 27. There were 17 executions in Iran, including 3 juveniles, while she was visiting.
Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović visited Iran on May 17. In the 48 hours surrounding her visit, 21 people were hanged in Iran.
It cannot be business as usual with the mullahs’ regime, and EU leaders need to speak out against these atrocities.
