• US House approves sanctions on two Iraqi militias linked to Iran
The US House of Representatives passed legislation calling for sanctions to be imposed on two Iranian-backed Shia militias in Iraq. This measure appears in an amendment to the Defense Department budget, known formally as the National Defense Authorization Act, which was approved by the House of Representatives on Thursday...
The legislation also calls on the White House to provide Congress, within 180 days, “a report that includes a detailed list of global entities with respect to which there is a reasonable basis to determine that Iran regime’s Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC] has an ownership interest” of 33 percent or more.
• Nationwide Strike By Truck Drivers In Various Cities Across Iran Continues On Seventh Consecutive Day
The massive nationwide strike of truck drivers in Iran, launched since Tuesday, May 22nd, in protest of the authorities failing to handle their demands, continued on Monday, May 28, 2018 for the seventh consecutive day.
The truck drivers have started a nationwide strike in protest to the fixed prices of fares, rising insurance prices, highway tolls, and high commission rates for cargo, illegal payments taken by some terminals, lack of job positions, high repair costs and high prices for spare parts of vehicles, lack of proper roads, lack of resorts, low salaries compared to the hard work they do.

In Tehran, a group of part-time teachers and Agriculture Insurance Department employees rallied outside the Iranian regime’s parliament on Sunday seeking immediate answers to their demands.
The Agriculture Insurance Dept. employees were protesting poor living conditions.
In Ahvaz, southwest Iran, retired Khuzestan Steel Company employees staged a protest gathering outside the city’s Retirement Fund office seeking their demands answered.
• Women partake in protests in Tehran, south and east of Iran
Women participated in two protests in Tehran and two others in Tabas, in northeastern Iran, and Minab, in the south.
On Sunday, May 27, 2018, several hundred women and men working for the Agricultural insurance fund of various provinces held a protest gathering outside the mullahs’ parliament in Tehran to demand determination of their five-year job status.
On Saturday, May 26, 2018, students of the School of Art and Architecture of Tehran’s Azad Vahed University staged a protest against transfer of the university’s campus to Sohank, a distant location.
