The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced this afternoon, Wednesday, May 12, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 541 cities across Iran is more than 286,200. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 66,401, Isfahan 18,875, Khuzestan 17,659, Khorasan Razavi 17,595, Mazandaran 11,725, Lorestan 11,695, East Azerbaijan 11,683, West Azerbaijan 10,648, Qom 9,425, Fars 9,182, Alborz 7,738, Kerman 6,428, Central Province 5,963, Kermanshah 5,694, North Khorasan 4,203, Ardabil 3,647, Hormozgan 3,335, Zanjan 3,150, Ilam 3,051, South Khorasan 2,701, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 2,239.
While doctors, specialists, and nurses are crying out over major shortages, Rouhani brazenly claimed, today: “While in modern and advanced European countries people were in line for food, hygiene, and the stores were empty from 10 am; even for medicine, treatment, and hospital beds, (they had to wait in line), these did not happen in our country. The shops were not looted. Long queues did not form, and people did not have to wait for hospitals to admit them and did not sleep on the grass in the hospital yard.”
