Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Surpasses 488,100

 • Mashhad Medical University: Since late September, the COVID-19 test for more than 1,530 students in Khorasan Razavi Province has been positive. (IRNA news agency, December 12, 2021)

• Kashan Medical University: During the last 50 days, 200 students contracted COVID-19. (Mehr news agency, December 13, 2021)

• West Azerbaijan Medical University: 500 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, 135 in ICU, and 33 connected to ventilators. (Mehr, December 13, 2021)

• Shiraz Medical University: Currently, 736 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, of which 91 are kept in ICU. (Tasnim news agency, December 13, 2021)

• In Yazd, the danger of COVID-19 is still around the corner. There are currently 241 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, 72 in ICU. (State Radio and TV news agency, December 13, 2021)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Monday, December 13, 2021, that the COVID-19 death toll in 547 cities has reached 488,100. In Tehran, the death toll is 114,310, Isfahan 33,565, Khuzestan 29,585, East Azerbaijan 16,828, Sistan and Baluchestan 13,520, Qom 13,200, Golestan 10,645, Hormozgan 8,100, Yazd 8,043, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 3,669.
