The head of the council of policy making for the Friday prayer sermons expressed fear of the repeat of the 2009 uprisings by millions of people in Iran which ignited by a flawed presidential elections. Mullah Reza Taghavi said in an interview with Iran State run television 'I consider the 2009 sedition - a term regime uses to refer to the 2009 popular uprisings – it is not a matter of disagreement between two candidates. Everybody who knows something about that sedition would not consider that simply as a disagreement between two men. It was rounding up millions of people. How can you say that millions of people came out to streets just to say where is my vote? Or to beat up the Basij militants with concrete blocks or to create barricades on the streets or to attack the Basij militants’ basis in Tehran? I consider this an act with the aim of overthrowing the regime.
