Hassan Rouhani, the president of the clerical regime in Iran has issued his support for Syrian dictator Basher al-Assad and praised his regime's fight against 'terrorism and foreign conspiracies'.
Hassan Rouhani said after a meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi this week: "Stability of Syria proves the line of resistance cannot be defeated."
He said the 'Zionists' had been taught that Syria can not be defeated through financial and military assistance.
Meanwhile Al-Arab daily said that Tehran had tried to exploit a disagreement between Turkey and the US by urging Ankara to give support to Syria.
On Wednesday, the head of the Iranian regime parliament, Ali Larijani, met with both the Syrian Prime Minister al-Halqi and Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoglu Jaoosh.
At the same time, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdullahian to Moscow to discuss the developments in Syria and Iran plan to resolve the Syrian crisis.
