Iran: ’Aqh-Dareh’ Gold mine workers on Strike
A group of Agh-Dareh Gold mine in western Azerbaijan province, northwestern Iran protested the dismissal of 350 of their fellow workers by the management.
This gold mine is located 25 kilometers from the city of Takab and previously had 550 employees.
With start of the winter season and the cold, all miners are fearfully anticipate that their name pups up in the list of new disgorged workers, making them frustrated and always in anguish and fear of being out of work. According to labor unions, this anxiety has affected the miners’ state of mind and their productivity.
Iran, Shahrood: Protest gathering by workers
A number of workers of Eastern Alborz Mines together with bus drivers and coal truck drivers and small business contractors went on strike to protest the workers’ unpaid salaries and bonuses. The strike followed with workers quitting work for a few hours on Dec 24th.
One of protesters said almost all of the workers were at the gathering. Despite the fact that the mine authorities are blaming this on lack of funds and financial resource, but this is not a good accuse and we do not accept this, since we know that the authorities have received large sums of money as loans or other means of resource.
Tehran youth attacked a Basij agent and threw him out of a swimming pool
A militant Basij agent tried to harass the youths in a swimming pool on 'Ejareh-dar' street nearby 'Imam Hussein' Square, by threatening them on Wednesday Dec. 24th, but the youths reacted and threw him out of the swimming pool area.
Iran Sahand factory workers protest in Sanandaj
Hundreds of workers of Sahand Factory gathered Wednesday Dec. 24th inside the factory compound to protest against their 6 months unpaid salaries.
These employees said that their financial situation is unsatisfactory and so bad that they cannot buy even a loaf of bread for their families.
The workers of the factory also protested against dismissing of a number of fellow workers in recent months by the factory owners and demanded a stop of discharging more workers.

Iran: Hyper Sun shopping Center workers’ protest in Tehran
The Hyper Sun shopping Center workers located in Sadeghiyeh region went on strike and stop working on Dec. 25th. Employees in this shopping center work 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
