Iran: killing of a Balouchi youth by regime guards

Road patrols killed a merchant in Iran

Hamid Brahoy, a young merchant was killed at a check point in Chahbahar Free Zone.
The incident happened when Hamid reached a security check point, while he was carrying a dozen bolts of fabric in his car. The guards ordered him to stop, but as he was afraid of losing his cargo to the guards didn’t stop and was sprayed with bullets. He got shot and was transferred to a nearby hospital, but later died of his wounds.
Check points set up in the border regions are usually a cover for the greedy guards to blackmail the merchants and receive bribe money from them.
At least 12 people have been reported killed in a same manner by road patrols and post guards during briberies and acts of blackmail in this region during past last 6 months.
