A Kurdish woman, resident of one of the villages of Urumia, was recently executed in the prison.
According to a report cited in Kurdpa news agency, Nahid Ghiyasvand, a resident of 'Raghan' of Dasht region in Urumia was executed in the prison after being held in jail for 3 years.
It is said Nayeb Mostafazadeh Nahid’s husband, also a resident of 'Raghan' was sentenced to execution, but he was released later on bail. He fled the country shortly after release fearing an execution verdict despite release.
