Iran: Discharged workers gather to protest

A number of laid off workers of ’Palayesh Gostar Novin’ in Tehran held a protest gathering on Dec. 9th. These workers are asking to receive their unpaid salaries, but authorities accused them of 'disrupting orders' and fired them from their jobs. Sacked workers in this protest gathering held in front of the management office, asked to return back to their jobs.  But the management officials rejecte the workers’ demand and called the security to disperse the protesting workers. The suppressive agents clashed with workers and beat them and forced the workers out of factory area. 

   Iran: Stone cutting factory workers on strike
Workers of stone cutting factory in the city of Bahmaie, went on strike on Dec. 8th to protest their unpaid salaries. The protesting workers locked the entrance gates to the factory and did not allow trucks carrying Celestine stones to leave the factory. 
It has been more than 8 months since the workers of Celestine stones factory in Baahmai have received their last salaries and bonuses and none of the authorities are paying attention to their demand. 
   
 Iran, Dezful; Bakers’ protest gathering in front of governor’s office
A group of bakers of the city of Dezful, southern Iran gathered in front of the governor’s office to protest the staggering rise of flour prices. They expressed their objection to the rise of flour prices saying it is costing both the bakers and the customers more money and the only side benefitting this rise, is the government. They complained that their protest and demand has not been heard.
In recent days, a number of cities across the country have been doing the same thing protesting the rise in flour prices.
