Iran, the third greatest prison for the journalists

                       Reporters Without Borders

The ’Reporters Without Borders’ organization issued a report on Dec 16th, announcing that Iranian regime after China and Eritrea, is the third greatest prison of the world for journalists.
Based on this report, Syria, Palestinian territories, Ukraine and Iraq are the deadliest places in the world when it comes to suppression of journalism. The Reporters Without Borders also said that 66 journalists have been killed and 119 others have been kidnaped in relation to their profession in current year. In this report Iran is named as the third greatest prison in the world for journalists. China with 33 journalists, and Eritrea and Iran with 28 and 19 captive journalists respectively are 2nd and 3rd in this ranking. 

In another report issued 4 months ago, Reporters Without Borders said Iranian regime has 10 women prisoners in jail that were working for press or were journalists, thus this regime has the first ranking in imprisoning the women journalists and internet activists in the whole world.
