"They tore up my paper crosses" writes an Iranian-American priest from the notorious Evin prison

                      Iranian-American pastor Saeed Abedini

Saeed Abedini, an Iranian-American pastor who is suffering the harsh treatments of the notorious Evin prison authorities, has written a letter on the eve of the Christmas insisting on his beliefs despite the prison pressures.
Mr. Abedini writes: 'The weather is very cold here. The tine window of prison cell does not have a glass, so the cold weather gets in all the time. It is very difficult to sleep at nights. Harassments by prison guards add to this horrible situation. They came and tore up the paper crosses I had made for the Christmas. I am welcoming the Christmas far away from my family and loving children.'
This Iranian-American pastor, who came to Iran in September 2012 from United States to visit his family in Iran, was arrested and sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment. Mr. Abedini adds: 'Christmas means the love and presence of God in our hearts and to lift our sins from our shoulders. God comes to heel our pains…'
His wife Naghmeh says, she and their two small children are going through hard times and are extremely worried of his situation. But we are certain that Saied’s resolve and commitments on his beliefs would save the lives of others…
