                      Suppression of minorities in Iran

A professor has been charged for teaching at a Baha’i university in Iran. Hassan Momtaz Sarvestani was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by the 36th branch of Tehran’s Revolution Court.
In his face book page after the sentence was served, Mr. Sarvestani said: 'Myself, as my other colleagues, are tried and convicted for something that not only is not a crime, but a responsibility and obligation for every person who has scientific capability, who can rectify and amend deprivation imposed against the natural and human rights of Baha’i youth in Iran. For this, I am humble and happy that as a human, as a teacher, I have been able to take even a small step toward this noble cause.
