Iran: Regime’s Coronavirus Policies Take Away 448,900 Lives

 Ehsan Mostafavi, member of the Epidemiologist Committee of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT): The occurrence of another COVID-19 outbreak is expected. The Coronavirus is still circulating in the country. (IRNA news agency, October 5, 2021)

  • Isfahan Medical University: In the past 24 hours, except for Kashan and Aran-va-Bidgol, 377 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in the Province. Currently, there are 1,962 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the Province, and 335 are in ICU. (IMNA news agency, October 5, 2021)
  • Kermanshah Medical University: In the past 24 hours, 208 new COVID-19 patients were hospitalized. Currently, 990 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the Province, and 202 are in ‌ICU. (State Radio and TV news agency, October 5, 2021)
  • Shiraz Medical University: More than 2,000 hospital beds in Fars Province are still occupied by COVID-19 patients. (ISNA, October 5, 2021)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, that the COVID-19 death toll in 547 cities had exceeded 448,900. The death toll in Tehran has reached 105,196, Khorasan Razavi 36,865, Isfahan 30,230, Khuzestan 27,505, Mazandaran 16,705, West Azerbaijan 16,158, Fars 16,145, Gilan 15,720, Alborz 13,178, Qom 12,315, Kerman 11,922, Hamedan 8,418, Central Province 8,198, Kermanshah 8,089, Hormozgan 7,605, Kurdistan 7,122, Ardabil 5,635, and Bushehr 5,069.
